BHP Billiton Iron Ore had changed their existing railroad network, making the Yandi junction along the network a train driver change over point. As a result, this change in the operation of the rail network lead to a rise in light vehicle use around the area.
Austral was contracted to provide the Civil Engineering expertise needed to upgrade the existing infrastructure ahead of this change.

Placement and compaction of 200mm basecourse material to 98% MMDD at multiple locations
