With extreme tidal fluctuations and harsh marine conditions in Port Hedland, the Pilbara Port Authority needed durable coastal fortifications to safeguard Nelson Point Tug Haven from further erosion and structural damage.
Austral Construction was engaged to execute revetment stabilisation, installing 279 steel tubular piles and raker piles for lateral stability. This included constructing a concrete capping beam and installing flood drainage outlets. Our team provided a robust piling solution designed to resist the harsh marine environment, ensuring long-term protection and structural integrity for the facility.
