Roy Hill Process Water Dam

Roy Hill aimed to enhance its mining and processing efficiency to reach a target of 60Mtpa, but faced bottlenecks in their process water management.

The existing process water dam required significant upgrades, including the removal of outdated infrastructure, liner repairs, and site regrading to ensure proper drainage and efficient operation.

Austral Construction was contracted to overhaul the dam, handling the removal of old pipework and liners, reinstallation of new components, and site regrading. This comprehensive upgrade, including new geosynthetic liners and concrete structures, streamlined Roy Hill’s water management and supported their production goals.
