Wallaroo Grain Export Facility
At the Wallaroo Grain Export Facility, Austral Construction provided essential solutions for the construction of the L-Berth causeway.
In early 2022, Lucas Total Contract Solutions (TCS) was engaged by T-Ports to develop the L-Berth causeway at the Wallaroo Grain Export Facility. This project encompassed a wide range of construction activities to enhance the facility’s operational capabilities.
Austral Construction was integral to the Wallaroo Grain Export Facility project, delivering specialised driven sheet piling works for the L-Berth causeway. Our scope included the supply and installation of permanent sheet piles using our advanced LR155 Piling Rig, precisely placing 86 AZ36-700N clutched coated sheet piles up to 20 meters long and 73 AZ20-700N clutched deadman sheet piles up to 3 meters long. We efficiently handled and transported the piles with 23-meter long extendable trailers and our 80T Sennebogen Hydraulic Crawler Crane. Additionally, we installed 44 jet filters within the sheet pile wall and 72 tie rods wrapped with 50mm Denso for enhanced structural support.
