Swanson Dock Wharf Upgrade

Austral Construction has made history at Melbourne’s Swanson Dock with the installation of the longest single-length raked piles ever driven in Australia.

The project aimed to refurbish the ageing dock structures and extend their operational life. Faced with logistical challenges in a bustling port and the discovery of hard basalt, Austral’s innovative piling methods and expertise allowed the project to finish on time and within budget, ensuring future dock stability.
